Introduction

  1. Welcome to RobotList ("we," "our," or "us"). RobotList is an early-access site at robotlist.one (the "Service") where you can join our waitlist and, if you'd like, tell us what kinds of robots you're interested in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

  1. Information you provide: your email address when you join the waitlist; and, if you choose to share it, optional information about what you're looking for: the robot brands, models, and categories you're interested in, any other brands or models you type in yourself, and a price range you're considering. You can skip any of these questions, and you're always welcome to join with just your email and add this information later if you change your mind.
  2. Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technology.

How we use your information

  1. We use your information to let you know when we launch or open up early access, understand which robots and price ranges people are most interested in so we can plan what to offer, respond if you contact us, improve the site, and keep the Service secure and free of abuse.
  2. Sharing your interests with us is simply a way to help us understand demand. It is not an order, a reservation, or any kind of commitment to buy.

Waitlist and preference information

  1. Joining the waitlist only requires your email address.
  2. Any information about the robots you're interested in, such as brands, models, categories, or a price range, is entirely optional and can be skipped.
  3. If you join with just your email, you can still come back and share what you're interested in later.
  4. We use this information only to tailor the updates we send you and to help us plan our catalog. We do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. See "Your privacy rights" below.

How we share your information

  1. We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, such as sending you email updates. Any usage data we share with analytics providers is anonymized.
  2. We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of RobotList or our users, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.

Data storage and security

  1. Your information is stored on secure servers and encrypted while in transit. We limit access to your information to what's needed to run the Service.
  2. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

  1. We keep your waitlist and preference information until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to send you launch updates. Usage data is kept only in an aggregated, anonymized form.

Your privacy rights

  1. You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct anything that's wrong, delete it, or stop using it for certain purposes, at any time. Just contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.
  2. If you're in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to receive a copy of your data and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  3. If you're a California resident, you have rights under CCPA, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies (needed for the site to work and stay secure), preference cookies (to remember things like your language or theme), and analytics cookies (to understand how the site is used). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though turning some off may affect how the site works.
